Gustave FlaubertI am hoping that Gustave is right. Notice the almost holy glow of my laptop. Notice also my chair. It must be at least two years since I pulled it out of a skip and dragged it home. I had the legs re-chromed and the seat re-upholstered in leftover leather pieces. I had to put it back together (no mean feat). Of course I did none of this alone: so thank you to those who helped. Getting projects like this sorted, makes me feel like I've got a grip on the creative stuff too. Not least because I finally have a comfortable chair to sit at my laptop with (it also makes me sit up, and there's room for a cat to lounge next to me. Perfect). So here's to seated (and standing and running) creativity in 2011… I know there isn't much evidence of it up here just now, but there's lots happening. Soon.
